Course Description:
This study abroad travel class will focus on experiential learning as students explore the state of social services ranging from childcare, families, individuals and aging systems in London and Dublin. Students will visit historical sites, museums, and social service organizations, including health care institutions, in both cities where they will have the opportunity to interact with providers from a variety of social services and local consumers of services. Students will also explore services to vulnerable, at risk populations while learning about historical events and leaders that assisted in shaping the current disciplines found in the U.S.


Physical Activity Requirements:
Students should be able to walk a minimum of 2 miles a day to allow them to tour historical sites and health care facilities. Students should also plan for the time of year (winter) in London and Ireland.
