Course Description:
Join this exploration of Irish schools and culture to gain a deeper understanding of how culturally responsive classrooms have developed in Ireland. This course investigates the ways in which classroom spaces provide social-emotional and culturally responsive teaching to meet the needs and context of the students in that classroom. By visiting such places as Adare Village, Hunt Museum and the Frank McCourt Museum, as well as observing teaching and learning going on inside schools in Limerick, students will compare global school environments and evaluate these environments in order to create their own plan for developing and sustaining a culturally responsive and emotionally appropriate classroom.

Physical Activity Requirements:
Expect to walk 4 to 6 miles a day in potentially rural areas.
