Course Description:
Throughout this program, we will gain an understanding of what it means to be Scottish, and what Scottish art and culture are like. We will study Scottish films and visit such classic sites as Edinburgh Castle, the Western Highlands, and the Piping Museum. We will attend multiple bagpipe and Scottish dance shows, taste Scottish treats like haggis and shortbread, and talk to the locals while attending the Edinburgh Film Festival. At the world-famous film festival, we will attend screenings and Q&A sessions with directors, and learn what features make a film likely to be picked up for distribution at a festival.

Prerequisites:
One semester of a writing or literature course.

Physical Activity Requirements:
Expect daily walking between 3 to 5 miles.
