Course Description:
Based in London, this class will enrich your understanding of the importance of sports in British society, of the relationship between sports and British media, and of how sports impact society in terms of race, culture, gender and economics. We’ll visit world-famous sports facilities like Wembley and Arsenal Stadiums and Olympic Park, but also sites like Rugby School and the Hampton Heath Croquet Club that focus on British sports not as popular in the US. And we’ll gain a close-up look at how British media handle sports with visits to newspapers and TV networks. Hop on board for a memorable experience!

Prerequisites:
Preferably some background or interest in sports and/or any level of media (broadcast, print, internet, etc.)
