From a young age, Ms. Colovos has loved to travel, but her passion for traveling really started when she participated in the study abroad program, Harlaxton College in Fall 2014 as an undergraduate. At Harlaxton College, Ms. Colovos was able to live in Grantham, Lincolnshire, England and travel around the United Kingdom and Europe. While at Harlaxton, Ms. Colovos researched nursing education and practice in the United Kingdom and studied the history of nursing in the United Kingdom, specifically focusing on Florence Nightingale’s impact. In 2016, she participated as a student on a CCSA Winter course in London and Dublin where she developed the research for her undergraduate studies and further in-depth studied nursing and the healthcare system in the United Kingdom. Her love of travel and interest in nursing and healthcare around the globe have also taken her to such locations as Ireland, France, Italy, and Greece. It is her love of education, learning, and traveling that make her excited to embark on teaching her first course with CCSA.
