Course Description:
In this time of global pandemic, public health policies and issues have never been more vital to our well-being. By studying public health practices in an international context, students will gain valuable insights on the role of international organizations as well as community-based healthcare institutions. Historical perspectives will be gained by visiting sites such as London’s Science Museum, Old Operating Theatre, and the Florence Nightingale Museum as well as Edinburgh’s National Museum. Students from various disciplines will benefit from learning experiences that highlight comparisons and contrasts between America’s public health system with those of England and Scotland.
