Course Description:
This course is an undergraduate, upper level, business elective. Business is a force for good in Society and business schools in the UK and Ireland are leading the way in responsible management education. Students will visit the UK and Ireland signatory schools for Responsible Management education such as Trinity College in Dublin and Cass Business School at the City University of London. We will also tour historic landmarks and established businesses to experience the impact that business has had and continues to have on society.

Physical Activity Requirements:
Expect 4-6 miles of walking on class days.

Course Highlights:

  • The role of business in society
  • The concept of corporate social responsibility (CSR).
  • The complex issues confronting organizational leaders as they develop their CSR programs.
  • The level of commitment to CSR of various organizations and explain how it can be a source of competitive advantage.
