Course Description:
Start the New Year in the land down under studying the behavior of the wide variety of animals found there. This course allows you to study animal behavior and welfare in tropical Cairns, Queensland and Melbourne, Victoria. Learn about basic animal behavior and how to evaluate animal welfare online prior to departure. In Australia you can observe the impact that humans have had on domestic and wild animals in places as unique as the Great Barrier Reef and Phillip Island. Learn about crocodile farming and observe koalas and kangaroos in the wild. Includes several class-specific activities plus day trips to such locations as the Australian Equine Behavior Centre, the Melbourne Zoo and The University of Melbourne’s Veterinary Science department.
