Photography , Art & Design
Designed for anyone interested in art, photography or British culture, this fun hands-on course introduces a range of historical and contemporary experimental practices. Students will explore the birth of photography in England and the Victorian obsession with all things optical that helped lead up to it. We'll create a photographic record of our travels, while experimenting with pinhole cameras, stereo photography, cyanotypes, emulsion lifts, light painting, book-binding and other creative processes. We'll visit London galleries, the Photography Centre at the Victoria and Albert Museum, beautiful Lacock Abbey where photography was invented, and scenic sites around the city. All skill levels are welcome.
