Course Description:
British common law traditions and the British legal system have influenced the American judicial system. Through field trips to various British legal sites, including where the Magna Carta was signed at Runnymede, where an original copy of the Magna Carta now remains at the British Library, and observing a criminal procedure at Old Bailey, students will develop an understanding as to how the British common law system originated and evolved to impact other common law models around the world.

Prerequisites:
None

Physical Activity Requirements:
At least five miles of walking per day and tons of patience.
